In a surprising crossover event that defies traditional predictions, the game developer has revealed an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Revealed
According to the official statement, "A strange meeting leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of banned ceremonies and terrifying metamorphoses resonate through the darkness." The storyline presents a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a hidden group.
The questline concentrates on "strange tests and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Transformations
The trailer highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser concludes with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Items and Bonus Features
Players who finish the quest will receive an special katana together with several artifacts concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
